The Susquehanna River Valley (SRV) Chapter is excited to announce the chapter’s second habitat fundraising shoot on September 15, 2018. This year’s shoot will take place at Thunder Ridge Sporting Clays & Game Farm in Middlebury Center, PA. Funds raised through this event will fund public lands young forest habitat projects in our region.
Shooters will be shooting at a total of 100 sporting clays targets and have three different levels of difficulty to choose from. Water, sports drinks and soda will be available along the course, and a hearty lunch and beer will be provided post-shoot. (Lunch-only tickets also available) Everyone who registers to shoot by September 1st will also receive a free Habitat Shoot t-shirt. Awards will be presented to the top shooters, but this is much more a fun personal challenge, than a competition. It’s also a great way to sharpen your scattergun skills small game season gets underway in a few weeks.
Like our other events, it’s our goal that everyone have a safe and very enjoyable time (and be well-fed)!
A CORRECTION TO THE FLYER: Golf carts will NOT be available to rent. Shooters are welcome to bring their own carts, ATVs or UTVs, but this is a very walkable course. The course is set up on a gravel road with plenty of shade and just a few hills (very small ones).
Shooters can buy mulligan’s at $5 or 5 for $20 (limit of 5 per shooter) – not only can these help your score, but they also give you a chance to shoot your favorite stations twice. (additional to the 100 clays, so carry enough shells!) $10 tickets will also be available for our Future of Forestry (LINK NEEDED) gun raffle.
Shooting station sponsorships are available for both attending and non-attending sponsors (LINK), and an Event Underwriter and Lunch Sponsor sponsorship option is available too (LINK?).
