The Susquehanna River Valley (SRV) Chapter is excited to announce the chapter’s first habitat fundraising shoot on July 15, 2017. This year’s shoot will take place at Thunder Ridge Sporting Clays & Game Farm in Middlebury Center, PA. Funds raised will remain locally to fund public lands young forest habitat projects in our region.
Shooters will be shooting at a total of 100 sporting clays targets and have three different levels of difficulty to choose from. Lunch will be robust with water, sports drinks and soda available throughout the event, and beer provided post-shoot – all included for each shooter. (Lunch-only tickets also available) Anyone registered to shoot by June 24th will also receive a free shoot T-shirt. Awards will be presented to the top individual shooter in Youth, Novice, Hunter and Experienced class, with a Team award presented to the top scoring team.
Like our other events to date, it’s our goal that everyone have a safe and very enjoyable time (and be well-fed)! As you may have read on this event’s flier – this is a fun shoot, not a competition…. No one will miss more clays than our committee guys! ?
Golf carts will be available to rent for $50/day in very limited supply. Shooters are welcome to bring their own carts, ATVs or UTVs. The course is setup on a gravel road several hundred yards long with some hills.
Shooters can buy mulligan’s at $5 or 5 for $20 (limit of 5 per shooter) – not only can these help your score, but they also give you a chance to shoot your favorite stations twice. (additional to the 100 clays, so carry enough shells!) The $5 shell game is your opportunity to win a box of shotshells whenever you break one of the random green targets. A 20-quart Grizzly cooler will be raffled off and given away at the shoot for $5 a chance. A 50/50 drawing will also take place at $10 a chance.
$10 tickets will also be available for our Future of Forestry (LINK NEEDED) gun raffle, that drawing taking place at our chapter’s Birds & Brew event in September.
