Loyalsock State Forest – Hillsgrove DCNR Station

Fire-Up Your Chainsaw and Create Grouse Habitat on State Forest!

Come Help Create Habitat at a Joint RGS Chapter Workday…
The Susquehanna River Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania Chapters will be holding a joint workday on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Most of the work will be the hand-felling and bucking of trees 4 – 10″ in diameter. If you’re comfortable with simply notching and back-cutting smaller diameter trees, you can help us fell! Most trees are easily pushed over to aid in the desired direction of fall. If your more comfortable cutting trees already on the ground, we need help bucking as well! There’s no obligation to perform any task your not comfortable doing.
