Two Habitat Days in the Books…

Earlier this spring the Susquehanna River Valley chapter participated in two different habitat projects in our chapter’s region. The first took place on Weiser State Forest where chapter members planted 250 species of trees and shrubs ideal for early successional forest habitat on reclaimed strip mine land. A second planting day took place in Tioga State Forest where members helped plant various pine species to serve as future winter thermal cover in large tracts primarily composed of aspen.
