FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ruffed Grouse Society to host habitat benefit shoot

The Susquehanna River Valley Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society will hold its inaugural habitat benefit shoot Saturday, July 15, at Thunder Ridge Sporting Clays & Game Farm in Middlebury Center.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support projects to create young forest wildlife habitat on public lands in the central and north-central region of Pennsylvania.

The habitat shoot is open to the public. While the event is designed to be a “fun shoot,” awards will be presented to the top individual scorers in three classes — novice, hunter and experienced – as well as to the top youth, female and veteran shooters. There will also be awards for the highest-scoring four-person teams in four divisions.

Registration is $70 per person ($50 for those 17 and under) and includes one round of 100 sporting clays, lunch, beverages and a free t-shirt for those who register early. Cost for entry of a four-person team is $250.

Additional details about the event, directions to Thunder Ridge Sporting Clays and online registration for the shoot can be found on the Susquehanna River Valley chapter’s website at www.susquehannagrouse.com by clicking on the 2017 Habitat Shoot logo on the right side of the screen.
